Who we are
Matched Betting Empire is run by Match Empire Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16865180), trading as Matched Betting Empire. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.

This policy covers this website (matchempire.uk), our billing and account system (members.matchempire.uk), our Discord server and the MBE bot.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Discord we receive your Discord ID and username. Your subscription also holds the name and email address you gave at checkout.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We see your subscription status, plan, renewal dates and billing history. We never see or store your full card number, that stays with Stripe. Some longstanding members are billed through Whop instead, which works the same way.
- Member tools. Things you enter or save in member tools (for example a saved acca) are stored against your Discord account so the tools and the bot can work for you, including sending you Discord reminders you have asked for.
- Messages. Messages you post in our Discord server, and emails you send to support.
- Support notes. Short internal notes our team keeps about support requests and account changes, so we can help you consistently.
- Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard security logs (such as IP addresses) to protect the site from abuse. These are short lived.
What we don't do: we run no analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and the free calculators work entirely in your browser, nothing you type into them is sent to us. We never sell your data.
Why we use it
- To provide what you signed up for (legal basis: our contract with you). Running your membership, taking payment, syncing your Discord roles, and powering the member tools and reminders.
- To keep the service safe and improve it (legal basis: legitimate interests). Preventing fraud and abuse, fixing problems, and understanding which tools get used.
- To meet legal duties (legal basis: legal obligation). Keeping billing records for tax and accounting.
- We will only use your email for marketing if you have agreed to it (legal basis: consent), and you could opt out at any time. Right now we send no marketing email at all.
Cookies and local storage
We keep this very light. The site sets one cookie, and only when you sign in:

We also use your browser's local storage for small preferences, such as your light or dark theme choice and whether you have dismissed a banner. These stay on your device and are never sent to us.
Because we use no advertising or analytics cookies, there is no cookie consent banner, none is needed for strictly necessary cookies. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Who we share data with
Only the providers that run the service for us:
- Stripe, our payment processor (and Whop for members who joined through it).
- Discord, for sign-in, your server roles, and any bot messages you have asked for.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and our account system. Our membership database is stored in Cloudflare's Western Europe region.
- Resend, which delivers the emails we send you about your membership (welcome, sign-in links, reminders to link Discord, and codes). It receives your email address and the message; we send from its EU region.
Each of these only receives what it needs to do its job. We may also share data where the law requires it, or with professional advisers under confidentiality. We never sell or rent personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers (Stripe, Discord, Cloudflare, Resend) are US companies, so data can be processed outside the UK. Where that happens it is protected by UK approved safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Account and member tool data: while your membership is active, and for 12 months after it ends in case you come back. After that we remove your name, email, Discord link, saved tools and notes automatically; the payment record is kept as a billing record only.
- Billing records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
- Security logs: a matter of weeks.
- Discord messages: live in Discord under Discord's own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you (access);
- correct it (rectification);
- delete it (erasure);
- limit how we use it (restriction);
- give it to you in a portable format (portability);
- stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests (objection).
Email support@matchempire.uk and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.
Security
Everything runs over HTTPS, the sign-in cookie cannot be read by scripts, and card details never touch our systems. No online service can promise perfect security, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small.
Age limit
Our service is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18, and we will delete it if we learn we have.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in any meaningful way we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, let members know by email or Discord.
